I'm Mario, Belgian, grew up "part-time" in NRW.
My dad was in the BE-army and most of his career was spent in the "East-Sector" of the Belgian Armed Forces in Germany (BSD - Belgische Streitkraefte in Deutschland).
I'll try and update some info related to barracks etc where BE-army was stationed, especially in (Kreis) Soest.

At the time of the BSD, I had a lot of contact with Belgian families.
Unfortunately, photos of barracks etc. were not an issue back then.

I spent quite a few years in Soest. In both schools.
If there's anything you want to ask about, just let me know. I understand German very well, just can't write it well enough. I guess I could use Google translate or so too
I never served in the Army-Heer, but know lots through growing up there and from my dad.
Just ask, and I'll try and find the info.
Or, maybe better, start a thread/Beitrag, tag me and I'll try and get you the info (with photos if I can find any. There is a lot of info on the www, but some of it could be "burried" in Dutch, French or English.
One topic I've started to look into a while ago was 'nuclear artillery'.
