Die alte Drahtwarenfabrik Christian Oos war die erste Fabrik in Gerolstein (noch vor dem bekannten Brunnen), gegründet 1882

In der Fabrik wurden Haushaltsgeräte aus Draht und die berühmten "Nerother Mausefallen" industriell angefertigt. Im Jahr 2017 sollen die alten Gebäude, erbaut um ca. 1900-1920, abgerissen werden.. kopfwand-

..tja, da kann man nix machen. Die Fabrik wurde bereits 1997 geschlossen, bin aber erst kürzlich im Netz auf die Fabrik aufmerksam geworden.. ratlos-

Pershing statt Petting

Heute vor genau 30 Jahren, am 10. Oktober 1981, fand in Bonn die bis dahin größte Demonstration in der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik statt. Und Malte Lehming sagt: Zum Glück endete sie in einer Niederlage. von Malte Lehming

Angereist war man im VW Käfer oder Bulli, in einem Renault 4 mit Knüppelschaltung oder einem Citroen 2 CV. Die Musik lief über Kassettenrekorder. Steely Dan ("Aja"), Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young ("4 Way Street"), Genesis ("The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway"), Lou Reed ("American Poet"). Auf der Hofgartenwiese hallten dann etwas andere Refrains nach ("Was wollen wir trinken, sieben Tage lang?"). Die Stimmung war fröhlich, ausgelassen, kämpferisch. "Frieden schaffen ohne Waffen" war das Motto der 300.000 Menschen (wahlweise auch: "Petting statt Pershing"). Willkommen in Bonn, wo heute genau vor 30 Jahren (am 10. Oktober 1981), die bis dahin größte Demonstration in der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik stattfand...

..auf dem Fabrikgelände habe ich nichts gefunden. An einer anderen Stelle im Ort wird aber von einem alten LS-Stollen berichtet..
